Jimmy's Allsorts - Brendan
Jimmy's Allsorts - Brendan
Story
Hi again to all my family, friends and colleagues,
Firstly i would like to thank you all for supporting me and the Allsorts team in 2024 and for the second year, i would once again ask for your support in the 2025 Murray to Moyne Cycling Relay!!! As part of The Jimmy's Licorice Allsorts Cycling Team, I am riding from Echuca to Pt. Fairy on the 5th & 6th April. We are riding 520km in just over 24 hours raising funds for research at The Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute. Australia's one and only regional cancer research facility. i am passionate about this cause and as some of you may know we ride for a reason! Again, i am riding for my Great Uncle Phillip Chalmers who passed away in 2018 of cancer. He was 50 when first diagnosed with blood cancer and passed at the age of 64. He was one of those people that would do anything for anybody without question and helped make me the person i am today. We are riding for him and all our family and friends who were taken by the horrific disease.
I would be most grateful for any support and i can assure you that with your help, we can and will defeat cancer!!!

Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute
The Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute is based in Ballarat and is Australia’s only regionally based cancer research centre. The research is focused on the role of the immune system, how it relates and can be used to treat cancer. It is hoped that by identifying these proteins on the surface of cancer cells, druggable targets can be developed to allow the immune system to attack the cancer, without chemotherapy and radiation. The research aims to help patients with a broad range of cancers – from Leukaemia, Bowel, Ovarian, Breast, Brain and Pancreato-Biliary cancers, as well as haematological cancers. Thank you for your support.
